Continue the Story: The Winner & Final Story

'Oh, I don’t know. I suppose this was the one where you've made another deal with the devil who's really your father.'

be still
One Story. Twelve Writers.

Well the Continue The Story competition is now closed. And that means we have a cracking story called 'be still,' co-written by 12 people, all of which brought something to the story that made it something it could have never have been with one author!

I loved reading it as it unfolded and as far as the experiment goes, I was delighted; the standard was very high. So then what are you waiting for?

Well done, Mike. I like the way you pulled all those threads together to give the story a bit of cohesion. Quite a task! It's turned out well for having so many contributors.

Chapters written in competition by different authors who have never met. Book Two competition will coincide with the website relaunch later this year, currently work-in-progress, but take a look at the site again maybe in May. It's free to register and enter, and winning authors receive 1% of any royalties, per winning chapter, and a copy of the book. It's not designed to make your fortune, but give aspiring authors chance of publication and to benefit from feedback from other writers. Run by two British teachers, primarily aimed at encouraging collaboration to enhance creative writing in education, but it is open to all authors of any age. Hope we see you there later this year - can keep you posted when it starts again.
